Cette distinction a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue pour promouvoir, encourager et diffuser les produits agroalimentaires de G\u00e9rone aux niveaux national et international, dans le but de favoriser leur d\u00e9veloppement. Il ne s\u2019agit donc pas d\u2019un r\u00e9pertoire perp\u00e9tuel, mais plut\u00f4t d\u2019une permanence dans le catalogue ann\u00e9e apr\u00e8s ann\u00e9e, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la recherche et \u00e0 l\u2019innovation. C\u2019est pourquoi, depuis la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition, en 2014-2015, tous les produits ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s par le biais de d\u00e9gustations \u00e0 l\u2019aveugle r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par des sp\u00e9cialistes. Parmi les produits qui figurent sur la liste, ceux qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de l\u2019Indication G\u00e9ographique Prot\u00e9g\u00e9e (IGP) Poma de Girona et ceux qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de l\u2019Appellation d\u2019Origine Prot\u00e9g\u00e9e (AOP) Fesols de Santa Pau sont inclus depuis la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition.<\/p>\n

Les autres produits ont \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis au cours du mois de mai 2025 lors de d\u00e9gustations \u00e0 l\u2019aveugle parmi les quinze familles de produits s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s\u00a0: eaux min\u00e9rales, riz, conserves et semi-conserves, plats cuisin\u00e9s, charcuteries, fruits secs, foie gras, biscuits, produits laitiers, huile d\u2019olive, miel, caf\u00e9s et plantes m\u00e9dicinales, bi\u00e8res, vins, vins g\u00e9n\u00e9reux et liqueurs.
